What's Going on in NYC: July 24 - 30

FOOD, Festivals, music, & more!

Could you ask for a better start to the week? Monday marks the first day of Restaurant Week in NYC, which ironically is much longer than just one week. Across the City, restaurants will be dishing out amazing pre-fixe deals: just $29 for a three-course lunch and $42 for dinner! Then starting Tuesday, Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer will spend two nights at Radio City Music Hall as a part of his first ever North American live tour. From Gladiator to The Lion King, Zimmer has been the musical core behind the biggest hits on the silver screen. On Wednesday, Lincoln Center kicks off the 47th annual Out of Doors arts festival, with days of outdoor music and dance performances, as well as top-notch food and beverage options and even a beer garden. Come week's end, the Panorama music festival kicks off on Randall's Island for three-days of chart-topping performances: Frank Ocean, Solange, Tame Impala, A Tribe Called Quest, and many more! This annual extravaganza is brought to you by Goldenvoice, the brains behind the world famous Cochella festival and many others around the country. For those of you looking for something a bit more cultural this weekend, check out the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers' 39th annual Mid-Summer Pow Wow, the oldest and largest pow wow in New York! It's for a good cause as well: all proceeds go to the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers Scholarship Fund and the Queens County Farm Museum Education Fund. Enjoy!
